We're sorry to announce that the search for a new frontman, hasn't yet turned out fruitful! We did think we'd found something (twice), but found that both couldn't work out!
Therefore we've decided to cancel our scheduled gig at Stubfest and also turn down the offer of supporting Lethal @ The Rock, in good time in order for the venues to aqcuire new acts.

If you're interested in becoming the frontman of the best heavy metal act in Denmark, or know of someone who is, please call Per on 41 42 81 20 or send us an email on mail@double-devil.com!

We're sorry to announce that our show at The Rock in Copenhagen has been cancelled. The booker though, gave us his solemn word that we'd get another chance to play this fine venue. We'll let you know as soon as the concert date has been confirmed!

Greetings everyone!

Double Devil has been hibernating for some time now, but we are just about ready to start again. We have found ourselves a big house just north of Århus, which will be our mutual home, as well as rehearsal and recording studio for the band.
We’ve got a couple of gigs lined up for the summer, hopefully with more to come. So far we have three confirmed shows:

-August 1st, Stubfest, Assens.
-August 9th, The Rock, Copenhagen (supporting FATE).
-September 6th, Ørsted Open Air, Ørsted.

We’ll let you know as soon as more concerts are confirmed – otherwise check out the “Gigs” section on our website!

Frontman substitute found! 14/2 2008 - 22:26
Here's an update on what's going on with Double Devil.

As you may know we've been without a singer since Snakebite decided to leave the band last year, and the amount of potential singers we've come across has been everything but vast!
But, we've got some good news; we've managed to persuade Mr. Phil Colwell from Wales to join us for our upcoming summer gigs! We are currently working on getting him into the feel of our repetoire, making sure he feels comfortable with the tunes before we start doing shows!

Rehearsals and musical gettogethers have been quite sparse as Claus and Per currently reside in England, but
new material is lurking in the dark, so hopefully we'll have new tunes to present to you once we start giggin' again!

We've got one summer concert confirmed so far; The Stubberup Festival, August 1st @ 22.30 - there will be more to come!!

Thanks very much to everyone who showed up for our release party at Billabong Bar in Århus. Though the event took place rather early in the evening, quite a lot of people came to attend the release of our second EP, "Personal Favorite Venom". It\'s been two weeks now, and quite a lot has happended since. Rumours had it, that the event was a goodbye-party for a band breaking up, which we would like to take the opportunity to state, that it most certainly was not - we're just getting started!That being said, the band now operates out of less convenient circumstances; Claus and Per have moved to England to study music, and will be staying there for a year.We will still be setting up gigs in Denmark (and hopefully the UK as well), as modern day aviation offers us plane tickets almost for free:-)We've so far got something coming up in November, and as far ahead as May as well. We will, of course, post specific time and place at a later time. If you haven't heard our new CD "Personal Favorite Venom", we've uploaded all four tracks to our website in the "media" section, and if you would like to support us by buying a hard copy, please write an email with you name and address to mail@double-devil.com. Purchasing will also soon be made available from CdBaby.com/cd/doubledevil.

Our second EP "Personal Favorite Venom" has now been mastered and sent into
production. We had Jan Borsing help us squeeze our recordings to the best of
their potential, and we're really satisfied with the result.
It seems almost everything has improved since our first demo.

So, now that our release party is coming up, we thought it might be a good
thing, letting you in on what to expect from the new cd.
Therefore, we've uploaded "Crawling To the Cross", which is the first track
on "Personal Favorite Venom" to the "Media" section for you to download.

Release Party! 19/7 2007 - 18:26
Finally we've set the date and time for the "Personal Favorite Venom" release party!
It'll take place on Saturday August 18th at our favorite venom hangout place, The Billabong Bar, Skolegade 26, Århus C, @ 8.00 pm.
We'll perform the new EP live within the premises of this small, but wondeful, Rock N'Roll bar. Furthermore we'll be selling t-shirts, posters and, of course, the new EP. There's a free beer with the first 25 copies!

New demo coming soon! 5/7 2007 - 22:47
As some may already know, we've been spending some time in the
studio working on our second demo/EP, and it's all come together quite nicely!

We've scheduled the release of "Personal Favourite Venom" to August 18th, if
all of our planning doesn't fall apart.
We're hoping to throw a release party somewhere, but we'll post further notice
as soon as a venue has been found!

And don't forget that Double Devil is featured in a big metal article in
Jyllands Posten, this Sunday the 8th of July, alongside interviews with Volbeat
frontman Michael Poulsen, producer Tue Madsen and Århus based metal community
Metal Royale.

Double Devil was recently interviewed for an article for danish newspaper Jyllands Posten - Denmark's largest, nationwide published, paper.

The article will be included in the Sunday July 1st edition, and will also feature interviews with Danish metal producer Tue Madsen, Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen and Århus based metal community, "Metal Royale".

All will be giving their opinion on the thriving Danish metal scene, and supplying answers as to why we red and whites have all of a sudden woken up and smelled the metal-coffee!

-We've just confirmed a gig at Café Safran in Viborg on June 8th. Look in the "gigs" section for updates on specific time.

-Furthermore Double Devil just recently did an interview with Danish daily newspaper Politiken, giving them our views and thoughts on the recent massive focus on the Danish metal scene. The article will be printet in the Friday May 25th edition.

As we have two gigs with short interval in Århus city in May, we've decided that the Puls Festival show setlist will consist solely of songs from our last demo, as the performance will be of only 30 minutes duration.

Our new material will be included for our concert at Musiccaféen on Friday May 25th, where we will take part in the Club Brutal D-Day event with Diamond Drive,

Snakebite bids us farewell - but not yet! 6/3 2007 - 15:44
Snakebite has just recently informed us of his departure from the band.
His urge to be able to focus only on his solo project has caused his dedication towards Double Devil to diminish to a point where it no more matches that of the rest of the band.

We respect his decision and can appreciate his reasons. Still, Snake will be giggin with us till his succesor has been found.
